I know, get off my back already. The last time I posted was just over a year ago. Where do I start? Our family has been extremely busy over the last year, but I am not sure with what exactly. Instead of trying to catch up, I am going to start from here. The biggest change, is our new little lady. Kendle Gwynette was born November 21st. She is already four months old and is the sweetest thing on the planet. We all love her to bits!!

So, lately I have been on a reminiscing kick. My little sister is in the process of converting all of my parents' slides to digital. She sent me a file with a bunch of pictures of me and my older sister Angie. As I was looking through them, I noticed that Angie rarely had a shirt on. To protect her privacy, I kept most of them out. I also observed my kids and I have very little resemblance, but I sure was a cute sucker!! Thanks Zeenie for doing all of the hard work, and Loopy, I miss you!!

It is quite the ritual in the morning trying to comb out Mitch's hair. We decided to grow his hair out, since we were getting sick of his "clean cut missionary haircut". He definitely is not a candidate. Every morning in order to convince him to comb out his hair, I tell him we have got to get the mouse out that has been sleeping in there all night. He always gets this concerned look on his face, and then agrees to let me do it. Most days I don't even comb it because I know how torturous it is going to be for both of us. He also gets a deep hair conditioning with his baths. He sure does look super cute. Here are some shots of him before his daily doo.

The dreadful winter has arrived. I think you all know how bad, meaning Camille, I hate the cold. It snowed for the first time last week, and currently it is a blizzard outside. I guess the only advantage I can think of is.... a white Christmas and oh ya, the kids love it.

I love this time of year...beautiful fall colors, raking leaves, fall festivities. Everything has been going good at our home, too good. Except for an occasional sinus infection, our family has been absent of the swine flu, unlike the rest of our neighbors, friends, and family. Cameron just finished a very successful soccer season and was the fastest kid on the block. The kids are getting pumped for Halloween. We've already been to the corn maze twice and 2 Halloween parties.... pictures to come.
Any how, life is good and I posted a couple of shots of our family picture outing. The top is my favorite. Fits my kids perfectly. Cameron trying to keep Gabby from crawling off, with a half smile on his face. Mitch getting ready to strangle his little sister with his teeth clenched, and Gabby screaming out for someone to help her.

My sister has lived in Houston-Katy, Texas for a total of 2 months now and we couldn't live without. So, we packed our bags and headed out. Me, Cameron, and Gabby were the only travelers this time. Oh ya, that will be the last time I take a 14 month old on an airplane. She isn't a big fan of airports. However, Cameron had a blast. We stayed 5 days and 4 nights. We swam, shopped, ate great food, and swam some more. We had a ton of fun, but I am not sure I am a big fan of the humidity, Houston traffic, and the airport security guards taking away Cameron's souvenir Texan snow globe. Here are a few pictures of our great adventure. I am sure it won't be long until were back.

Ok, So for a second I thought the world was being takin' over by frogs. My husband went down into our basement a couple of mornings ago and there was aprox. 20 frogs hangin' out on our tile floor. They had worked their slimy bodies between the door jam and came into party. Thank goodness I was at work or else I would have freaked out. After investigation, a frog hatchery had been laid in the drain outside our basement door. We have hundreds of frogs, and I mean hundreds, crawling out of the drain at all hours of the day. We have let our kids keep about 12. The rest have gone to every neighbor, nephew, and cousin. John catches about 30 a day and lets them go in our flower beds. At the moment, he is frustrated while trying to catch a live fly for their dinner. I am kind of creeped out, but at least they are staying out of our house. I just have to keep reminding myself they are only frogs. Here are a few pictures of their takeover.

THINGS TO LOVE!!

Right now everything in my life is going so smooth. I have so many things to be thankful for, so I decided to list a few. Most are obvious......
My yard, and I don't mean my actual yard but yard work. I would do yard work over house work any day. The bushes and flowers are finally filling in the beds. People might think my husband is crazy for getting me a stick edger for Mother's Day, but it was the perfect present.

I love my hubby, and my hubby helping with the yard work. Rare site, but that is ok...I would rather him leave it up to me.

Love the family..... especially my sisters and mother.

My 98 year old grandma I help care for. Blessing in disguise.

Love... my overwhelming, but very rewarding church calling as Young Women's President.

Bear Lake and Trout Farm

For the 24th of July weekend, we went camping to the very popular Bear Lake. While we were there for the 3 days, we ran into 6 families, including neighbors, brothers, and friends. Who knew everyone was going to BearLake?

A few campsites over were our neighbors, the McCleans. Good thing Cameron didn't miss out on hangin' with his friends while were gone.

The Larsens and our family hiked the Minnetonka Cave. The kids were pretty concerned about bats attacking.

Craft Time

Like everyone else's, our summer is flying by. For Family Home Evening, the Bakers and our family went fishing to the North Ogden trout farm. My kids were a little uneasy about the wiggly fish. Cameron was too worried about if the fish were going to die and who was going to eat them. He does have a sensitive heart for living creatures. Mitch definitely doesn't give into peer pressure. I guess we need to go fishing a little more often.

A Kids Life

How could a kid's life be so easy going. Cameron is running and playing, doing who knows what, from seven in the morning until nine at night. This kid is a pack rat. He collects everything. If I am not watching close he will load up all of his toys in his wagon and head down the road. If I dare throw any of his treasures away, I have to hide it at the bottom of the garbage so he won't find it, including cow bones he digs up in the back field. He prefers to dress himself, and he has already caught the The Heat Stroke twice this summer. Here is a recap of just a few of his summer events. The above picture is camping with the Larsens and Merrells in Idaho.

Our annual family home evening hike and picnic up Ben Lomond Peak. Let's just say we didn't make it quite to the top, but who's counting.

He took first place at the Elwood town fourth of July bike race. He took it pretty serious. He even beat kids in the upper division.

This was probably his favorite event yet. With a lot of determination (and a hot dog at the end of a stick), he caught his first crawdad at Sandwash Lake in Bluebell Utah. He was named Crabby Hot dog Roylance. He became Cameron's best friend for the next two days. He chased all the neighbor girls and cousins with it. After being dropped on the cement 15 times and his pincher falling off, it was a sad day when he was laid to rest in Farr West, Ut.

Instead of spreading some attention, presents, and parties throughout the year, I cram it all in one month for my husband. During the month of June John gets pretty spoiled, not that he isn't the rest of the year. He is quite the wacko guy. He is the best father and husband anyone could ever ask for. John is such a hard worker and rarely sits down. The minute he gets home from work he is playing with the kids. Most already know he loves food and is a great cook. 90% of our meals are made by him, and they're not just your average meals. Once in a while he finds time to road bike, mountain bike, play basketball, ride four wheelers and watch theJazz. We can't forget he does have some weird quirks. John is a terrible dancer, but he does do it all the time to make the kids laugh and annoy me. All the neighbor kids come to him for their bike repairs needs, flat tires, seat adjustments etc. Cameron, our five year old, can swim better than him. John loves to express his opinion, particularly about politics, and grammar. John doesn't go a night without reading every letter to the editor in the newspaper. He can't even get two knuckles into his beady little mouth, but boy he sure does have nice legs. I don't know what we would do without him. We love him like crazy.

Annual Homestead Whoorah!!!

Annual Homestead Whoorah!!!! This was my 30th year, John's 9th, and the tradition has been going 33 years. Every year is great for the family. Swimming, tennis, golfing, bike riding, more swimming, Park City Alpine slides, park, great food, cram a hundred people in one condo, and ongoing fun. Years past we have run into intense rain, but this year we were pretty lucky. The rain came at times no one really cared. In a lot of ways you can compare the Homestead to Hawaii. It does have the Heber Valley Volcano and mineral pools.

John and I raced down the hill with the kids on our laps. Mitch giggled the whole way down.

Mitch is crying because he cannot get the airplane to fly up (note to self...never tell him again the planes can go up if you pull the handle, until he is strong enough to pull it up). Funny thing is, his cousin (Stu) got on after him and the same thing happened to him. You would've thought we would have learned our lesson.

First Everything

My baby girl is getting so big. She's nearing one, ya know. Gabby is crawling and getting into everything, tries to eat like an adult, and has 7 teeth. She is constantly having her firsts. In the last two weeks she had her first trip to the dinosaur park, first trip to the zoo, first trip to the movie theater, first camping trip, and (my favorite) first day with pigtails. I know I need a lot of practice, and she didn't enjoy it much. It is much different having a girl after having two boys. Gabby has the easiest going personality, with tons of smiles. She enjoys every minute of her life.

To give you a little background, our first cat (Scooby) passed on last summer. Ever since, Cameron has been telling all of the neighbors and his friends that we are going to get a parrot. He was pretty convinced a parrott was going to be our next pet. Occasionally, he would waiver and think we were going to get a turtle, hamster, or ground hog. We weren't to thrilled about any of them. So, when my sister decided that she needs to move and her pets have to stay, we jumped on the chance to take Peekers. It has eased Cameron's mind for awhile about getting a parrot. Mitch, on the other hand, loves Peekers. As you can see, he chases him around the yard all day. Now we currently have Clifford the big blue fish, and Peekers. That will do for now.

Our first adventure this year to the park. You know it takes some preparation to get three kids packed up and to the actual park. Once we get there, the kids have a blast.

Mitch is completely obsessed with motorcycles and four wheelers. We cannot drive down the road without him screaming motorcycle, motorcyle. My uncle Ster gave the boys a Sunday ride. Mitch couldn't keep his eyes off it.

Every year my family tries to plan a get together.... mostly just to let the kids swim and stay in a hotel. The last couple of years we went to Logan Canyon and stayed at Beaver Creek Lodge. There we went tubing, skied, watched movies, and went snowmobiling. Well, this year we ventured to Pocatello Idaho..... Awesome. The kids actually had a blast. Gabby had her first experience wearing a swim suit and having her fat rolls hang out. I told her to get used to it. And Mitch, well, as you can see by the pictures, he didn't feel so well. We did finally convince him that the water would be fun. He did enjoy it once we got some Ibuprofen in him. And as for Cameron, I could not get him out of the water. He would swim for hours, go eat, and then swim for hours. We was covered in life vest rashes when it was all said and done .We all had a fun time with the Groll family.

Cameron seriously has the hardest time not pulling a face during pictures. It's hard not to laugh, but sometimes it can get a little annoying. Especially for family Easter pictures.

The Easter Bunny came early this year!

I know you probably can't see the price tags on the Disney toys behind them, but let's just say they sure know how to make their money.

Innocent until proven guilty. I think it's fair to say GUILTY. On top of the wash machine in his sister's car seat with the trailer and four wheeler keys in his hands. Urgh!!!

O.K. So my mother-in-law was wonderful enough to put all of my husband's growing up pictures on a CD for easier viewing. As I was flipping through them, I practically died laughing. This picture is my favorite. What I want to know is; why is the car pulled over, someone taking a picture and a big puddle of water underneath it? Dare I ask? I hope they made it to wherever the heck they thought they were going.

Later I find out, they made it to their end destination. Thank goodness! Who knows where the other three siblings are.

Do ya love the title or what?? Almost a tongue twister. Cameron has a field trip once a month for preschool. This month fire station, last month Lee's Market Place. He loves preschool.

VIRTUAL TOUR OF OUR BASEMENT!!!

So, we finally finished our basement after who knows how long. John did close to 95% of the work. We did have to take in account his 11 month maternity leave when I was pregnant with Gabby. Despite what he says, John has just as much OCD as he claims I do, just in a different way. He was a perfectionist. At times it drove me a little crazy, but know his hard work paid off. This is probably the most finished room, because it has a bed and dresser. Cameron loves his new bedroom and has no problem sleeping down there by himself.

Of course, the first thing we, and I mean my husband, had to purchase and set up was our TV. Unfortunately all we have is beanbags to sit on.

Soon to be office/den/homework area/storage room.

I am taking any suggestions for decorating ideas!

This is my favorite room. I am so so so glad to have the toys out of the kids' closets. This room definitely has the most furniture.

So grandpa decided to venture out and take some of the grand kids ice fishing. It sounded a little to cold for me. They headed out to Devils Creek, and Cameron had the time of his life. He didn't stop talking about it for days.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Gabby's 1st Christmas, and she is loving every minute of it. She is displaying her new camp chair.

Christmas morning at Grandma's house. We are already a little exhausted and it is only 8:00.

Every New Years we usually leave town, but this year we were home partying it up with Paul, Staci, and Maverick.

The boyz are bringing in the new year with a Scooby Doo movie. They obviously were not into it, and a little drunk on sprite and coke.

Uncle Paul's Hawaiian Wedding

Ok, Paul Baker, John's great buddy, finally decided to get married. The wedding was held in Kona, Hawaii, somewhere I have been dying to go. Hawaii was on my to do list before my death, and I was not about to miss the chance to go on vacation. Thank you to all the grandmas who watched my monster children. We got to tour the island for six days with our best friends. We counted our get together as our Christmas and New Years parties.

We rented a minivan so all of "the friends" could tour the island together. Smitty was our amazing tour guide.

All of the guys decided they wanted matching Hawaiian shirts, or maybe it was the girls that decided it. Either way, how nerdy.

I think I can speak for myself, Holly, and Jean when I say we were a little sad Paul got married. He was the only friend that remained single and he was forever going to be our back-up husband. We decided if any of our husbands were to die, then Paul would make our new husband and father. Now what??

We are touring the lava tubes. Hot lava ran through here and formed these gigantic caves. They are not solid and can collapse anytime.

One night John and I attended a Luau. I loved the dancing, but John ate until he was sick (no surprise).

This picture does not even justify the beauty of Hawaii. It is georgeous. Green grass, bright flowers, black lava rock, and blue ocean water. It was very depressing to come home to a snow storm.

John decided to take some lava rocks home for our son Cameron, since he loves to collect rocks. Kona has a myth if any lava rocks are removed from the island you are doomed to bad luck. Supposedly people who have taken rocks have lost a foot, house burned down, or have been audited by the IRS. Well, we decided to do it anyway. I am a little nervous, but so far our luck has not changed. We will see. If anything happens, I might be shipping them back to the island.

This picture has a great story behind it. We were all swimming in the ocean, and getting thrown about by the waves. We noticed Jean hadn't been seen for awhile. We looked out and there she was slowly being pulled out to sea by the riptide. Her great husband Travis, and Jason decided to go save her. Holly, John and I decided to stay back and observe. They were out there for quite awhile none of them able to get anywhere and getting exhausted fast. See next picture.

Yes, the ONE hunky, tan, tone life guard pulling both Travis and Jason into shore, and need I say he wasn't even wearing flippers. There were Bay Watch life guards everywhere. Another did assist Jean in getting back.

These signs were posted all along the beach, which we obviously didn't pay much attention to, except for safety John. The whole rest of the trip we kept our eye on Jean when she was by the ocean. We all felt that the ocean was out to get her.

Halloween Fun

Cameron wanted to be a scary clown for Halloween. I was able to talk him into being a nice clown.

Every Year we go trunk or treating in Tremonton with the Groll family. My parents always win a $50 gift card to Maddox for their haunted horse trailer. Cameron is already getting to the age that he wants to pass out the candy instead of collect it. It's alright with me, just less candy at our house for me to get rid of.

Gabby was a cute kitty, she just went along with all the day's activities without complaint.

Mitch was a dragon, I think, some people thought he was a dinosaur. The kids made these bat pumpkins at the Merrell's Annual Halloween party.

Carribean Cruise '08

John and I were able to go on a nine day cruise with my work. It started in Florida and we got to stop at Honduras, Cozumel, Belize, and Grand Cayman Island. We had a blast and it was a good vacation from real life. We stopped for lunch in Cozumel Mexico, and shopped all day.

We had two dress up dinner nights and this was one of them.

Honduras was a very poor city, but fun to tour.

Snorkeling with the stingrays in Grand Cayman was awesome.

Pankaj- He was our waiter every night in the dinning room. He was the best waiter we have ever had.

Of course, John took pictures of everything he ate throughout the nine days we were there.
